Breaking Out of Our Masks by Changing the RootsBreaking Out of Our Masks by Changing the Roots by ~kimkwanho
Change the leaves and the whole tree will be poisoned. Change the roots and the whole tree will be changed.
We convince ourselves that the mask we wear is for the good of all. We fake it so as not to hurt the other person. We change our habits accordingly. We try. We live every day wearing our masks. We tell others to fly when their wings are still not ready. We tell others to smile when their hearts are still filled with tears. We lie to ourselves to make the other person feel better. We lie to the other person, to make ourselves look better. The more we distanced from the truth, the closer we became with the lie.
We walk on this thin line, where one missed step can inflict serious pain to other people. But little did we know that walking this thin line was inflicting serious pain to ourselves. Hiding behind the masks, poisoned our hearts and souls. The inequality between our inner and outer selves pressured our hearts to constant and silent pain. The longer we wore our masks,
are you living or preparing to live? Are you waiting for tomorrow? Or for the next year? Do still feel the years that passed? Many of us live for a moment in the future, but we have to realize that, this moment, now, was a moment in the future, once in the past. And when that moment in the future comes, will you then enjoy your view, stop and breathe, tell your close ones that you love them? Oftentimes, we forget what we wanted before, and exchange them with what we want now. Which sucks us into an unstoppable cycle of deluding destination in the future. We are not enjoying our life. Yet. Perhaps it is not the journey that is important, but the moment. Breathe, because I love you, and you love me.are you living or preparing to live? by ~kimkwanho

Kwan ho Kim"If you have no choice but to accept that this world is real, would you be able do anything to fill it with the colors of your dreams?" - kimkwanhoKwan ho Kim by *redfoxj
I'd splash over every wall of the universe
until every star and every asteroid was immersed
with a can full of white paint.
Patiently, I would wait and wait.
Until the canvas dried and solidified
into a perfect tapestry of blank insight.
I'd grab my No. 2 pencil and with my trained eyes
outline every love of mine.
Once finished I'll use a pen
and under a Hubble telescope lens
fill out every detail I so desire
complete and finished but to leave me inspired.
I'll add colors beyond imagination,
blend them together to blur all distinction.
Hues of violet, yellow and green
to create the colors of the galaxies.
I'll spread them in every direction so they resemble
Flutes and flowers from the old world model.
Using a orange ribbon stretched very thin
I would hang them on a mobile
